Desirable early produced HJ dagger made by Carl Eickhorn with the single oval logo. Heavy magnetic steel hilt with narrow black Bakelite grip plates held by two nickel silver rivets. The early HJ grip emblem is in good condition and wiggles to the touch. It has no enamel cracks. The blade has no ricasso, and the “Blut und Ehre!” motto is etched on the front. The early single oval 1931–1933 pattern Eickhorn logo is stamped on the back. The blade has some corrosion but retains its full size. The leather buffer pad is loosely attached, and the steel scabbard has parts of the original black paint present. The brown leather belt loop is still soft, with a working snap button marked “Stocko.”. It has a field repair with staples. A nice been there and worn HJ knife, from the very first production.
