M40 army (Heer) single decal ‘half basket chicken wire’ steel helmet EF64

Description

Stunning and well preserved M40 pattern steel helmet by the frim EF, having an original half basket chickenwire to it. The helmet shows light wear and retains it’s classic ‘Thin Wing’ decal by the firm of Huber Jordan u. Koerner for more than 95%. These decals matches the firm of the maker EF. The leather is still supple and strong. The genuine draw string is still present and the period shortened chin strap as well. The split pins are straight and remain unmessed with. The chickenwire shows nice reaction and ageing with the helmet. It is a one-looker helmet in nicely worn condition. Maker marked shell by EF, size 64. Lot number: 1277.
