Description

Waffen-SS collar tab set intended for a member within the ’11. SS-Freiwilligen Panzergrenadier-Division “Nordland”’. As with other foreign volunteer units, the Germans devised and produced special insignia intended for these soldiers. The collar tab is showing an embroidered swastika in white thread on black wool. The collar tab is having a nice light-brown, colored ‘buckram’ backing. The collar-tab originates almost certainly from the SS clothing department at the Dachau KZ when liberated in 1945. It comes with a nearly matching rank tab, for the rank of SS-Rottenführer
