Description
Out of the woodwork in Germany – ultra rare and very well preserved Waffenrock (dress tunic) and visor cap, from the same man, serving in Panzer-Regiment 1. The Waffenrock is an excellent private tailored piece by H. Lipsdorf in Erfurt (Germany). The tunic is complete with all of its period applied insignia, having piping piping for a member of a Panzer Regiment. A genuine and original applied Panzer flag bearers arm insignia (Fahnenträger Ärmelabzeichen) is present on the right sleeve. The tunic has an acceptance stamp (‘Geprüft’) of Panzer Regiment 1. The visor cap was found together with this this tunic is a desirable example, by the firm Erel. Typically having a vented cocarde up front. The cap is void of major damages – just like the tunic – and shows medium wear. It is maker marked by Erel (twice) and also bears a similar acceptance stamp of Panzer Regiment One. A stunning grouping – never been in a collection before!!
