Army (Heer) Feldgendarmerie officer visor cap by Erel

Description

Very attractive and early war constructed army visor cap with orange piping for an officer of a military police ‘Feldgendarmerie’ unit (possible also recruitment). This is actually a very rare branch color amongst visor caps. The cap shows minimal wear and it still retains its genuine saddle shape. Some small moth damages are visible but certainly not disturbing. The cap is complete with its original bullion embroidered insignia attached on the front of the cap. The liner shows matching wear with the rest of the cap and is maker marked by Erel (Robert Lubstein), as well is the leather sweatband. This is an Erel ‘Extra’ cap, in the finest quality having the desirable green silk liner. This cap was sources directly from the family by the previous owner, and a pictured of the man himself comes with this cap.
