Army (Heer) Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO visor cap 1939

Description

Hard to find grass green enlisted-style pre war constructed visor cap for a Gebirgsjäger (mountain trooper). Complete with it’s original insignia on the front of the cap, including the rare Edelweiss badge. The visor itself lost a few stitches and sits a bit loose. The cap is light worn and shows a size mark inside 59 (large). Sweatband is double marked; A sweatband manufacturer stamp from 1938 and the cap constructor from Bayern (Germany) in 1938. Beautiful cap from a rare branch!
