Army (Heer) mountain trooper officer cap ‘Gebirgsjäger Bergmütze’

Description

Very nice worn mountain cap executed in light summer cloth for an army mountain trooper ‘Gebirgsjäger’ officer. The cap remains complete with its original (and rare) officer flatwire T-shape national eagle on the front and the edelweiss badge on the left of the cap. The leather sweatband had worn off, the rest of the liner still is complete and shows moderate wear. The cap has been nicely worn and shows sun-fading, when liften up front strip where the buttons are. The cap has a nice shape once on a head or hatspanner. Hard to find original officer mountain cap in worn condition.
