Description
Beautiful very early M33 pattern black SS dagger in heavy worn condition. This is a special dagger because the Röhm dedication was not factory grounded but it was self-done and as you can see the whole text remains visible! Maker marked blade by Böker (still the small ‘first pattern’ logo to fit the Röhm text). All silver parts are of course made out of nickel and show nice ageing and patina. The scabbard has been period refinished and shows nice wear to it. One screw got missing. The cross guard is marked with Roman number I. Early ‘fat’ SS logo on top and high detailed eagle, both are nicely sunk into the ebony wood. The front of the blade remains in pretty good condition and the tip is still sharp. A beautiful and very rare SS dagger, not the easiest to find that is forsure! Completely untouched from a US veterans household.
