Description

From my personal collection; I obtained this bayonet during the Covid pandemic when I used to put small business cards in the letterboxes in my town. This bayonet was delivered at my doorstep and came straight of the attic, most likely left behind in 1918 after WW1. The bayonet is perfect and untouched, so called M1884/98 (or G98) first pattern bayonet for the G98 rifle. Maker marked by Alex Coppel, Solingen and dated 1887 (I deem). It also has a regiment stamp 9.R.6.158. It comes with its genuine frog and original leather scabbard. A beautiful well preserved bayonet!
