M31 Luftwaffe gas mask with canister ‘Jagd-Geschwader 53 Ace of Spades’

Interesting M31 ‘short’ gas mask canister with gas mask in worn condition. Canister is complete with straps (show damage). A field post number is still visible on the outside ‘28592’ and is the number of Jagd-Geschwader 53. A unit active in France, Britain, Mediterranean, Stalingrad, North Africa and Germany 1945! The cansiter is maker marked with a double fish logo and dated 1938.
