M35 army (Heer) double decal bunker tone grey camouflage helmet NS60

Description

Genuine German M35 helmet that started as a double decal example with pea-green coating. The helmet was camouflaged in so called bunker grey or shipboard grey. The army decal was neatly painted around during this process and the tricolor shield was overpainted. After the war a collector liberated the tricolor shield from the grey/blue paint. The helmet is complete with an original aluminum linerband, dated 1939. The leather is missing. The shell is made by NS size 60 (NS60). Lot number 237.
