Light worn M35 pattern army helmet. Started its life in apple green color with double decals and was later factory reissued receiving a rough applied layer of field green paint, a new decal and liner. The helmet shows overall nice combat wear and the decal rates well over 80%. The split pins remain straight and untouched and show nice dust and patina. The leather itself is stiff but remains complete. It is a bit torn on the front. The draw string is period replaced by a shoestring. Interesting, has a hole in the rear to hang on a hook (like in a bunker). Complete with early 1936 dated chin strap, worth a small fortune on its own today! Maker marked shell by SE, size 66. Lot number not visible.
