M35 army (Heer) single decal two tone camouflage steel helmet ET64

Description

Early produced M35 army steel helmet in good condition. The helmet started as an apple green coated double decal helmet, but was factory reissued in ca. 1941 with a new army decal on the left side and thick green paint on the outside. The helmet was camouflaged in a unqiue pattern with green and tan color stripes, covering the remaining army decal on the left side.  Inside the helmet has an 1937 dated aluminum liner, possible replaced at some point. The leather is dry and shows normal wear, matching with the helmet. The chin strap is present, an early example with aluminum buckle, period shortened tip. Shell by ET, size 67, lot number I cannot read.  A very nice and unqiue M35 camoflage helmet!
