Description

Beautiful untouched M1936 German field blouse in light worn condition. Full length jacket, not shortened or altered. Pleats in the pockets are still present. The jacket is complete with all of its original applied insignia. A hand applied Bevo breast eagle, well sunk into the wool and machine applied collar tabs. The collar tabs, have gold yellow piping for a cavalry regiment and shoulder boards have pink piping. The pink piped shoulder boards have the rank of Oberfeldwebel and look to be private tailored boards. This is the second time in my life I find a jacket like this, and that is because many of these cavalry units turned into Panzer ones later in the war. This jacket is unit marked to 7/K.S.R.8 (I think 8) wich means 7. Schwadron Kavallerie-Schützen-Regiment 8, that was (suprise surprise) assigned to a Panzer divison later in the war as Reconnaissance (Aufklärung) troops. The jacket is size marked (chest 90cm) and dated 1936. Uniform collectors will know that a M36 tunic from 1936 is a true rarity! The sleeves shows a Schirrmeister trade patch. A Schirrmeister is a term for administrators and supervisors of extensive material such as vehicle fleets and their accessories. Beautiful early M36 tunic – not many left around!
