M40 army (Heer) single decal steel helmet Q62 ‘Leutnant Thoma’

Honest M40-pattern army steel helmet in very good condition. Decal is the so called ‘Big-Foot’ eagle typical for this manufacturer, and remains nearly 100% intact. Original installed liner is present, the leather is soft and strong. Orginal draw string and chin strap are also both present. The chin strap is an early example with aluminum buckle that has been period shortened for more comfort. Split pins remain untouched. Maker marked by Q size 62, lot number 326. The most interesting part is of course that it is named to an officer; Leutnant Thoma. Investment grade helmet!
