M40 Kriegsmarine single decal sand camouflage helmet EF64

Description

textbook M40 KM helmet having the correct ET-pattern gold eagle decal on the left side, as EF also used ET KM decals. Decal was painted around during the camouflage process, being a sand camo scheme. Complete with original liner and chin strap. Chin strap is nicely maker marked and dated 1942.  Named to A. Müller. Shell markings EF64 – badly stamped lot number, typical for EF-steel helmets. The helmet layed on its top for a long time, resulting in rust and paint loss. Still when on a shelf a nice and truely rare Kriegsmarine camouflage helmet. Most likely camouflaged in sand colors for a coastal artillery unit.
