M40 Polizei double decal steel helmet ET64

Description

Light worn and very desirable M40 police helmet with both decals over 95% intact showing sharp decals. Very unusual to find a police helmet made by ET. This helmet has the textbook ET-style decals, not having a silver boarder. Medium size produced steel helmet in size 64 with a 56 sized liner. The liner has steel band and remain in very good condition and is dated 1940. The leather is still soft and strong. The full length chin strap in pig skin leather is present and in good condition, the draw string is a replacement. The chin strap’s markings are faded. Maker marked shell by ET64 and lot number 1081. Inside a very nice dome acceptance stamp is visible. Very desirable M40 ‘Polizei’ helmet!!
