M40 reissue Heer/Waffen-SS no decal steel helmet ‘ex-wire’ hkp64

Description

Typical late war M40 reissued helmet in rough field grey paint. Once started as a single decal helmet, and got refurbished during the war. The inside still shows the early smooth paint. Could be used for a Wehrmacht or SS display. Original liner is present being a steel band example, placed during the reissue process. The leather is strong and it still looks great. Some damage on the rim of the leather. The split pins remain straight. Shows the imprint of a wire that was once there. Honest light worn M35 helmet that got a ‘new’ life in ca. 1943.
