M40 ‘Waffen-SS’ single decal steel helmet (fake decal) Q62

Genuine M40 steel helmet by Quist. A very nice fake SS decal has been put on the helmet (years ago!) and shows ageing and patina. Still it remains a nice helmet that nearly looks as good as the real thing, certainly because they used a matching SS shell with lot number 750 The other components of the helmet are of course 100% war time and original, the liner and split pins are not messed with. has an original chin strap worth more than 200 euro easily. Maker/size marked in the rear by Q64 , lot number 750 shows a SS helmet match in the database, which means the SS decal was probably removed from this helmet and a new one was applied. Good looking M40 “SS” helmet, for those who don’t like spending ten times the money.
