M40 Waffen-SS single decal steel helmet Q64

M40 pattern Waffen-SS combat helmet. Single decal example having Quist-style SS runes, that matches the maker and lot number of this helmet. The helmet is nicely worn and shows nice ageing and patina. The decal is still present and shows nice wear. Complete with original liner. The split pins remain untouched! The leather remains soft and strong but shows a few damages. Draw string is a period leather shoe string. The chin strap is an original example that was reissued by Norway after the war, hence the red dyed color. Maker marked by Q size 64. Lot number DN32? – a plausible match in Brian Ice’s data base.
