M40 Waffen-SS single decal steel helmet Q64

From my personal collection: M40 pattern Waffen-SS combat helmet. Single decal example having Quist-style SS runes, that matches the maker and lot number of this helmet. The helmet is nicely worn and shows nice ageing and patina. The decal is still firmly present and shows nice wear. Decals from this manufacturer often show this ‘flaking’ damage. The helmet was missing the liner when I got it long time ago, but I found a nice liner, original 1943 dated that now sits in the helmet. The leather remains soft and strong and shows a size mark 58. Genuine draw string is present. Maker marked by Q size 66.  Lot number IN238 (which would be a wrongly stamped DN243 ref. Brian Ice page 567 see print screen) – shows a similar match in Brian Ice’s data base. Here is your chance to buy a nice combat worn SS helmet – not many offered for sale these days!
