Description

Very attractive mid war produced M42 helmet by ET. The lot number 2262 indicates this helmet has a decal, but it is hidden under the thick camouflage paint. By consulting the lot number database the chance is rather big that this is an Army helmet (and not an SS or KM). The helmet was camouflaged during the war, having received a rough field green paint job, with woodchips mixed in the paint. The liner is in good condition but clearly shows a headshot as it is still partially drained in blood, the helmet was brought back by and American soldier and it layed there untill a few weeks ago when we got it out of first hand. The original split pins are present and they remained unmessed with. The liner band is dated 1942. The helmet is marked ET64 and 1570. A stunning and very desirable ‘Rautarn’ helmet!
