M42 Luftwaffe single decal steel helmet ckl64

Description

Beautiful and well preserved, light worn M42 pattern Luftwaffe steel helmet. Nice ET-pattern decal on the left side, nearly 100% intact and still showing sharp details. Exterior blue paint shows minimal wear. Beautiful ‘pig-skin’ liner inside, with the steel band dated 1940. Split pins do not have washers, so liner might be replaced or taken out at one point. Comes with a late war chin strap, maker marked  0/0750/0400. Shell by ckl size 64, lot number 2849 (A perfect match with the database from Brian Ice!). Dome stamp still clearly present. The top of the helmet shows a left over of a ‘mail-home-tag’ from an American veteran who got this helmet as a souvenir.
