Genuine WW1 reissued M1918 steel helmet in WW2. Single decal example complete with liner, most likely issued in 1942/43. The decal is in very good condition and still shows sharp details. The eagle is a textbook example that I like to see on reissued helmets, being produced by Methner and Burger (Grey lined eagle). The helmet remains unworn and the ‘last-ditch’ paintwork on the exterior remains in excellent condition, showing splotches of different shades of grey. The liner remains in excellent condition, and the leather is soft and strong. It is size marked 55 and dated 1942. The original draw string is present as well. Split pins remain untouched. A very nice and desirable M18 SD reissue steel helmet! Maker marked shell but hard to read. Inside a size dome stamp of size 62 is present. Unique to find a MINT helmet like this!
