MINT Waffen-SS ‘Kleiderklasse’ officer visor cap

Genuine and original ‘Kleiderklasse’ Waffen-SS officer visor cap. Unworn officer visor cap in excellent condition, having a very appealing look and shape. The black velvet band in the middle shows no wear and still has a shiny look. The cap is complete with an original desirable cupal SS insignia on the front, by the design both made by the Zimmermann firm. The cap still holds its genuine saddle shape. Inside shows no markings, as should be with SS Kleiderklasse visors. Only a size mark ’57’ is present. Late war constructed cap, having a celluloid chin strap instead of a silver bullion one. A very unique chance to obtain a unquestionable original Waffen-SS officer visor cap! Discussed on the Wehrmacht-Awards forum. Without a doubt the best SS visor I have ever owned! A similiar example was sold on auction last week for 22.500 euro (incl costs).

Kleiderklasse: Waffen-SS officers bought their uniforms from an allowance they were paid, either from a tailor or through the Kleiderklasse system where the officer paid a monthly amount and could draw supplies from a series of Kleiderklasse outlets. They would have had several tunics, a tailor-made one for best and probably a lesser quality or even an issue one for in the field.
