Description
From my personal collection; stunning MINT and unissued army visor having grass green piping for mountain troops. Complete with original aluminum insignia pierced on the front of the cap, all showing matching patina. The middle shows an Edelweiss flower badge, for Gebirgstruppen (mountain troops). The inside shows a stunning white look, maker marked by the desirable firm J.B. Holzinger Uniformen Berchtesgaden (the village in the Alps where Hitler lived). Furthermore it is marked with ‘Frischluft D.R.G.M. 1419757’ which is a patent for the vented front. Behind the cocarde 6 ventilation holes are present, a bit the same system that the firm Erel used for its visors. The white sweatband is complete but the stitches came a bit loose (could be easily fixed by a tailor but I left it as found). The visor is void of damages and only shows to small nips under both wings of the eagle. This is by far the best Gebirgsjäger visor I have ever owned in my life, made in Berchtesgaden what makes it even more special!
