Waffen-SS Soldbuch Kurt Beckmann concentration camp guard Mauthausen

Very rare SS Concentration camp guard’s Soldbuch from Mauthausen to a man named Kurt Beckmann. Late in the war, Göring presented Himmler with one thousand older men from his Luftwaffe as a gift to the SS to help free up the SS men at the concentration camps who could otherwise be fighting at the front. Kurt Beckmann was one of these men. He was forty years old. The booklet is well-documented and hand-stamped with the ” Waffen-SS Konzentrationslager Maulhausen” stampings and other interesting entries. Also included with the soldbuch is a Luftschutz-Ehrenzeichen award document issued to Beckmann when he was with the 5th Luftwaffe Bau.Ers-Battation III. it was folded twice to accomodate being carried in the Soldbuch.
