Interesting and untouched Allgemeine SS field blouse. After I made my Youtube video where I was also talking about this jacket, I received an e-mail from an old collector who wrote me the following message:

“Just to let you know that I once owned the Allg-SS Nachrichtensturm 6 tunic you showed in your SOS video. I bought that tunic from Steve Wolfe and Neale Hardin in Long Beach, California in 1987 and it was a beautiful item straight from a US veteran. Unfortunately, the uniform has suffered a little bit of damage since I had it. I sold it many years ago and I do not remember who bought it. As you can see in my attached pictures of my original photos (please excuse the glare), the armband did not have any damage and the cuff title still had the RZM tag attached at the rear. I just thought that you might like to see these old photos of mine.”

The tunic is an untouched piece with its original insignia attached. Cufftilte with number 3 refers to SS Standarte ‘3’ Thüringen, and the collar tab to the Nachrichten-sturmbahnne 6, which would be the unit. The SS-Standarte is directly subordinate to an SS-Abschnitt and includes three to four Sturmbanne. The rank tab shows the rank of Rottenführer. As the inital owner wrote, both armband and cufftitle were damaged over time, not letting away this is still a stunning and good looking black Allgemeine SS field blouse. A textbook piece and centerpiece for any collection!
