Allgemeine SS officer visor cap ‘RZM Tuchmütze’ 1938

Stunning black Allgemeine SS officer visor cap in very good condition. Complete with original SS skull ‘Totenkopf’ and eagle, both showing matching patina, and in my opinion a skull made by Deshler based on the design. You can look under the eagle and see the maker mark RZM 1/72 Fritz Zimmerman, one prong is repaired. The cap is made is quality soft black woold and the middle has a soft black velvet band (for officers!). The inside is complete black silk liner and partially intact celluloid diamond. Under the sweat band a RZM label is visible showing the type of headgear ‘SS Tuchmütze’ and the maker mark ‘4’. The sweatband is also marked HB38 (1938).The visor itself is marked RZM SS on the brim as it should be. A beautiful and very rare SS officer visor cap!
