Army (Heer) Kriegspfarrer chaplain visor cap by Marke Standard

Description

A very rare and seldom seen army officer visor cap for an army chaplain or Kriegspfarrer. The cap is surrounded by purple piping. The front is completer with the national insignia, on this occasion it does not, and never had a catholic cross between the eagle and cocarde, as seen on period pictures this was also not always the case. The cap shows light wear and remains void of major damages. Liner is complete and has a nice maker mark on the celluloid shield that says Extra Klasse – Marke Standard. Under the sweatband a folded newspaper is present, something that was often done to absorb the sweat. A very nice and rare priest visor cap!
