Army (Heer) Pionier officers visor cap ‘Schirmmütze’ by Michael Schmidt, Neu-Ulm

Desirable and hard to find black piped officer visor for a Pionier (Pionieer) officer. Executed in fine doeskin wool. Early set of Buntmetall national insignia are pierced through the front of the cap and look great, showing matching patina. The visor has some minor moth damages but looks great in general. The lining is complete with its leather sweat band and also has a ‘Peküro’-pattern black velvet band. It is maker marked by a seldom seen manufacturer; Michael Schmidt Uniformen, Neu-Ulm, Maximillanstrasse. The celluloid sweat diamond in present both show some damages. Size aprox. 58-59. Beautiful well preserved Pionier officer visor cap!
