As found on a Belgian attic in Aalst by myself; untouched and most likely left behind by British liberators in 1944 in the city of Aalst (Belgium) A complete Luftwaffe belt with holster, decorated with Police (silver and gold) cap eagles. This was a typical so called ‘souvenir’ belt were allied soldiers pierced Nazei insignia on a belt to wear and to take home after the war. This piece remains in untouched condition and is complete with all 11 Police cap eagles (mixed silver and gold). The belt itself is maker marked and dated but both hard to read. The buckle is 1940 dated but can’t make out the maker. A great piece of history from Belgium’s liberation parties in 1944.
