Complete M31 ‘short’ Luftwaffe gas mask with canister 1938 named to an officer

Description

Early 1938 short M31 gas mask canister complete with gas mask, (unknown possible WW1) filter, cleaning cloth and spring. The straps are present and look great. Luftwaffe issued piece, exterior painted blue, but with time and wear lost some parts and the early apple green in peaking through. Named on the bottom to a Hauptmann (officer rank ‘Captain) of the air force.
