Document grouping Paul Kissel Gren.-Rgt. 226 Iron Cross and East Medal Stalingrad, Ardennes

Description

Nice and small paper grouping of Obergefreiter Paul Kissel, serving in the 6th company of Grenadier Regiment 226. He received the Iron Cross 2nd class and the Eastern Front medal. Both documents came in the envelope that is present as well. The Grenadier Regiment 226 fought under the 79th Infantry Division that saw action in Stalingrad. When being renamed in 1944 to Volks-Grenadier Division, they also took part in the Ardennes offensive.
