Description
Interesting and worn infantry crusher cap for officers. Beautiful example with period applied insignia up front. The cap must have been made around 1938 when the insignia switched from tan backing into bottle green. Both insignia are well sunk into the cap and have a matching patina. White infantry piping surounds the cap. There are a few moth damages present, please view the pictures carefully. As often observed, the officer at that time added a chin cord, which gave the cap a better look. The interior shows normal wear and is complete with the sweat band. There are no visible maker marks. The visor has a very attractive shape and would look good on any combat display. Size +-55-56.
