Description
Early M33 SA dagger by Gustav Wirth in very good condition. Blade remains in good condition, uncleaned. If cleanded would turn out to be very nice again. Cross guard marked on the reverse with ‘Nm’, a match for this manufacturer. Scabbard is anodized and still retains most of its genuine lacquer on top, altough there are some rusty spots here and there. Again this is a truely untouched and uncleaned piece recently found in Germany. Stunning dagger by a desirable manufacturer Gustav Wirth Solingen Gräfrath. The company logo is on the reverse ricasso, being a big letter W. This manufacturer is rated as very rare with a scale from 10/10 in the SA dagger book of Siegert, approximately only 4000 examples were made. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour. A leather stud is placed between the scabbard and grossguard and looks to be there since the war. The dagger is named on the reverse bottom of the grip with the name ‘Buchmann’. A very nice early SA dagger!
