M35 blue colored Luftwaffe helmet with double decals. The Luftwaffe eagle is the desirable first pattern model often referred to as the ‘Droop Tail’ or ‘Snake Leg’ variant, typical for this manufacturer. Both decals are present and show light wear. The helmet is complete with an early single band aluminum liner (dated 1937 and made by Schuberth-Werk) – I believe the liner is original to the helmet but might have been taken out by playing children after the war as the pins are a bit crooked. The leather feels soft and was most likely treated with grease for better preservation. The liner still has its full length draw string and chin strap attached. The chin strap period shortened towards the tip. The dome of the shell is unit marked, which is always a nice extra touch. Maker marked by ET (Eisenhüttenwerk Thale) size 62 (ET62), lotnumber 3221.
