Genuine WW2 German navy officer cap for high ranking officers (Stabsoffiziere). This can be seen on the embroidered gold oak leafs on the front of the cap. The visor itself shows a crack from folding it during wear. A nice set of gold colored bullion insignia is period sewn on the front of the cap. Maker marked by Wilh. Witte Kiel, Schlossgarten 4. The chin strap is complete but shows a small tear where the left button is. A beautiful well worn Kriegsmarine visor with the patina we are all looking for!
