Mid war made first pattern Luftwaffe field cap, often referred to as a Luftwaffe mountain cap or Bergmütze because its similar look to the army ones. Light worn cap, complete with its period applied national insignia up front. Blue cotton interior shows medium use and sweat staining. Maker marked with RBNr. 2/0125/0598 and size marked 56. A very rare and desirable hat!
