Description

Attractive light worn standard Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse in very good condition. Complete with its original applied insignia and Paratrooper cufftitle! The breast eagle is missing, but was never there this is also visible in a lot of war time pictures that early Fliegerbluses did not have breast eagles. The jacket is maker marked and dated 1940. The often missing blue/white Luftwaffe sweat collar is still present. The shoulders show extra padding inside, and combined with the crisp condition, I would say this jacket was worn as ‘walking-out’ jacket. The jacket is intented for a Feldwebel within a paratrooper regiment (yellow colored tabs and boards). Interesting; this jacket was published in the great book of Karl Veltzé ‘Deutsche Fallschirmjäger Uniformen und Ausrüstung 1936 – 1945‘ page 48-49.
