Description

Light worn M16 steel helmet. Classic reissued WW1 example, so called transitional helmet. Helmet is covered in WW2-era field green and has a army decal on the left side, that shows normal wear. It is a Ed Strache decal, the eagles were printed on a silver backing, due age and wear the details of the eagle have worn of and the silver backing is exposed. The helmet was most likely assembled in 1941. Complete with original installed liner. The leather still feels soft and shows normal wear. It is size marked 59. The full length draw string remains present. Shell is marked on top 893 and ’64’ in the shell itself. A really nice ‘been there’ M16 helmet
