M31 helmet liner size 62/54 by Werner Zahn 1940

Description

Excellent light worn M31 pattern German helmet liner in very good condition. Steel band, maker marked by Metall-Lederverarbeitung W.Z. (Werner Zahn) in Bln.-Chburg 5 (Berlin), dated 1940 (I deem). The leather itself is supple and strong and has a size mark ’54’ in ink. There is also a SS and RZM stamp on the leather that i believe is post war added. This liner is intented for a 62 sized steel helmet with a head size 54. Comes with its original full lenght draw string.
