M35 army (Heer) ex-chickenwire two tone camouflage helmet SE64

Description

Very nice early produced M35 army helmet that started as a double decal army helmet. The helmet was then overpainted in rough saw dust paint covering both decals. Afterwards a chickenwire was attached and the helmet got painted again in grass green camouflage colors. Both decals ghosts remain visible under the paint. Inside shows an early single band alumium liner, dated 1937. The leather is in good condition and still has a (slightly damaged) draw string and partial chin strap attached. Split pins remain untouched. Shell markings SE64 – 3291. A stunning camo helmet!
