Early apple green M35 steel helmet that started it’s life with two decals. The helmet was camouflaged during the war with thick sawdust mixed field green paint, covering the national tri-color shield and leaving the army decal open. But in 1943 after new regulations were made this decal also was removed to be conform with the new rules. The liner is a genuine M31 example in worn condition. Since it has a steel band and it’s dated 1940 (I deem) it must have been replaced at one point, but it matches the helmet very well. The shell is maker and size marked ET62 and has lot number 4582 stamped in the rear. And honest worn camouflage helmet!
