M35 army (Heer) ex-double decal steel helmet with camo remnants ET64

Description

Early produced M35 helmet in worn condition. Started as an apple green double decal example. The tri-color shield was removed per 1940 regulations and the helmet was partially covered in green/red camouflage paint. Due combat wear the paint wore off exposing large amounts of the glossy apple green paint again. The decal still remains in very good conditions and shows sharp details. Complete with early single band aluminum liner. The leather is stiff and shows a few damages. Period shortened chin strap is present, with steel buckle part. Split pins remain straight and untouched, show nice corrosion. Maker marked shell by ET, size 64. Lot number in the rear; 3080.
