Description

Beautiful untouched M35 helmet that started its life as a double decal army helmet. In 1940 the helmet was camouflaged using sand mixed field green paint to cover de glossy apple green paint that is still visible on the inside and the tricolor shield as per regulation. Afterwards the lid was camouflaged again using sexy tan color with green stripes. The inside of the helmet remains how it was produced in 1939, having the apple green color, a reinforced aluminum liner dated 1939 and a full lenght chin strap maker marked and dated 1937 with aluminum buckle. The leahter feels great for its age and does not show major damages. The aluminum/brass split pins remain straight and unmessed with, an of course have lost a bit of their paint on the outside as this material (just like early buckles) does not hold paint well. The helmet is produced by EF, hence this could only be a army helmet and not an SS since EF did not produce SS helmets back then, and has the size 62 (EF62). Lot number in the rear 20427. A super nice untouched camouflage helmet!
