Description

Stunning M35 steel helmet that started it’s life as a double decal example in glossy blue paint. Got camouflaged during the war, covering both decals. The camouflage pattern is a classic ‘Normandy’ three tone spectrum period applied by airbrush using vehicle paint. The colors remain bright and visible and paint shows normal combat damages. The inside remains perfect and untouched having a reinforced aluminum liner dated 1938. The leather is a bit stiff but remains strong. The genuine draw string and chin strap are still present. The strap has a maker marked and dated 1938. The split pins remain straight and untouched. Clear dome stamp and unit mark from the 9th Flak (anti-aircraft) regiment is visible. Maker and size marked shell: NS68, lot number E154 (I deem). Beautiful and so hard to find textbook three tone camouflage helmet!
