M35 Luftwaffe double decal wood chip camouflage steel helmet Q64 shrapnel damage

Description

A very nice M35 double decal Luftwaffe ‘subtle’ wood chip camouflage helmet.  The helmet has been lightly overpainted with dark green/brown paint to obscure the ‘glossy’ M35 look, the decals where painted over as well, but are visible again due paint being removed. The helmet is complete with its original liner, being a reinforced early aluminum example. The leather is complete and feels doft. The draw string is present and also the genuine Luftwaffe ‘chocolate brown’ chin strap with aluminum buckle. The strap is maker marked and unit marked. Shows sharpnel damage, has a nice combat look. Maker marked shell by Q64, lot number 3226.
