Combat worn M40 pattern Feldbluse that was period converted to a M36 by adding dark green collar. Changing the collar to an M36 dark green one was very popular amongst soldiers back in the days as it referred to them being part since the beginning of the war in 1939/40 and could be seen as senior combattants by newly enlisted soldiers. The jacket is complete with its period applied collar tabs and breast eagle. Interesting to see is that some stitches of the breast eagle are loose, and ‘fresh’ wool could be seen underneath. The early M33 pointed┬á NCO shoulder boards remain in good condition but are both missing the Feldwebel ‘star’. They both have regimental slip on cyphers for Kradsch├╝tzenbatallion 12. der Pz.Div. u. Inf.Div. (mot)’ (sergeant who served within a tank- and/or infantry-related-, motor-cycle unit). The jacket has an hand applied original (magnetic) Krim shield on the left sleeve. As most combat worn Feldblusses this one is also shortened, for a better movement on the field, moving and/or crimping the bottom pockets and inside first aid pouch. Maker marked inside by ‘BORN’ dated 1941 (M41). The jackets shows multiple repairs, all pictured in the slideshow. A beautiful worn M36/40 feldbuse, would be great on display!
