M36 army (Heer) Feldbluse Obergefreiter

Well worn M36 army field blouse. I located this jacket on the militaria show of La Gleize last summer. The jacket was complete untouched, with even stuff still inside the pockets. You can see it all on this video at 15:40. The tunic was missing its breast eagle and we had it professionally restored by a tailor. The sleeve still shows the shadow of a Krim or Kuban shield that was once there. Stampings inside are gone due wear but based on the cloth used of the liner I would say this jacket was made in 1940. The jacket was slightly shortend and pockets moved upwards for a better fit during combat, a modification that was done to many jackets during the war. The jacket has a few moth holes here and there, but remains void of major damages. A very nice and honest army combat tunic!
